Alexa Bliss is now a household name, but it seems that there are still some medical professionals who are not aware of what she does for a living, leaving her husband in a tricky situation.
While appearing on Artist Friendly with Joel Madden podcast, her husband, Ryan Cabrera, opened up about how he was accused of 'domestic violence' when they went to see the pediatrician.
"If we go to the pediatrician and I step out to the bathroom, they’ll ask her, ‘Are you okay? Is everything okay at home?’ And she has to explain, ‘No, everything’s fine — I’m a wrestler. This is what happens.’”
Cabrera noted that sometimes there would be red flags when he took her to see the doctor because Bliss would come home with bruises all over her arms.
"What’s tough is that she’ll come home with bruises everywhere, all over her arms. Their elbows get all beat up, and sometimes the bruises look really bad. Right now it almost looks like there’s a fingerprint on her arm. I always tell her she’s got to remind people she’s a wrestler.” [H/T Ringside News]
Alexa Bliss isn't the first female wrestler to have her partner accused of domestic violence
Alexa Bliss is perhaps the most high-profile name to be questioned about potential issues in her home life, but she isn't the first WWE star, since Eva Marie was once questioned about her bruises by several members of the public during an episode of Total Divas.
Marie was training at the time and had a lot of bruises on her arms and wrists, which led to several women asking if she was alright and if her partner was responsible. Obviously, it's not well known that these women are wrestlers, and sometimes people believe that they are trying to do the right thing.
