Becky Lynch is arguably one of the biggest female WWE stars of all time. She has significantly contributed to the evolution of women's professional wrestling. The Man is currently active on RAW, adding more accolades to her already decorated resume.

In her biography, "Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl", Big Time Becks opened up about her early career. Lynch revealed that she was signed with an advertising agency at one point and ended up doing a lingerie photoshoot for a popular adult magazine in Japan.

Although she wasn't fond of the nature of the photoshoot, she convinced herself to do it as her pro wrestling idol, Lita, had been part of a similar gig and still managed to succeed in WWE.

"The first day, they had arranged a photo shoot—another lingerie shoot, to be exact. Having decided I wanted to make it to the big leagues, I needed to figure out this s*x appeal thing and, in turn, would continue to do what I said I wouldn’t. On the flip side, I reasoned, Lita did, and she was still cool. And I worked hard for my body, why wouldn’t I show it off? I’m in better shape than the last time, I told myself. As a side note, I believe there is nothing wrong with showing off your body and feeling the power of your own femininity and se*uality. However, I also knew that if I wanted to be respected as an athlete and a wrestler, I had to have more than s*x appeal. In fact, I felt like I needed to reject it completely. Not that it mattered, because in my confusion, I went against it all anyway," Becky Lynch wrote in the book.

Did WWE just ruin WrestleMania 42? - Why this should not have happened!

Big Time Becks recalled her experience working with the magazine. The WWE Superstar disclosed that while it was a professional setting, she felt mortified at the photoshoot.

"'Very popular magazine'” they said. Yeah (…) I can see why (…) It was the top porno magazine in Japan, and, as a result of my very Catholic upbringing and my intentions on how I wanted to be portrayed in general, I was mortified," Lynch added. (H/T: TJR WrestleMania40

Becky Lynch Recently Lost her WWE Title

Becky Lynch defended her Women's Intercontinental Championship at the Elimination Chamber 2026 Premium Live Event in Chicago against AJ Lee.

In the bout, Lee illustrated that despite being away from the sport for over a decade, she could still hang at the top of the division and compete at the highest level. The Geek Goddess emerged victorious and was crowned the new Women's Intercontinental Champion.

That said, it will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and the creative team have in store for the Irish icon as WrestleMania 42 approaches.
