Despite of what it may look like on television, WWE Superstars are human beings too. Being on the road 5 days a week does it fair share to mess up their private lives without even taking into account daily bumps and injuries.
WWE Superstars lead hard lives and often, they party harder. Stories of backstage partying during WWE’s boom period in the late 90’s are legendary and things nowadays are a little less crazy, especially with social media and camera phones.
Since we’ve already started talking about parties, let’s go ahead and look at 15 photos of WWE Superstars partying.
15: Candice Michelle and Jeff Hardy
Apart from his high flying offence and disregard for his own safety, Jeff Hardy is best known for his partying ways. He’s had well-documented problems with drugs and alcohol in the past, no incident more famous than showing up high out of his mind at the TNA Victory Road PPV in 2011.
In this photo we see Jeff with former WWE Diva Candice Michelle at a nightclub, taken soon after Hardy’s 2006 return to WWE. Needless to say, both of them look quite intoxicated.
14: Two legends
Even though we never got to see Goldberg and Stone Cold Steve Austin face each other in the ring, seeing them at a bar talking over a beer is cool in its own right. I’m not completely sure which year this photo was taken but it’s one hell of a photo nonetheless – two legends talking over beer.
3: Cena and Nikki
John Cena’s partying habits are legendary although he’s cut it down since meeting Nikki Bella. Allegedly, his partying habits was what led to his divorce with his high-school sweetheart Elizabeth Hubredeau. This photo is definitely not one that WWE will want the face of their PG Era too see.
12: Swag
However, unfortunately for Swagger, he got charged driving under the influence soon after along with possession of illegal substances. Swagger got probation for 6 months and his WWE career went downhill from there.
11: Touring party
This photo was taken at the back on a tour bus during one of WWE’s international tour and we see Chris Jericho pouring Vokda at the back of the tour bus as he drinks with Dean Ambrose and The Usos.
10: Nikki, Dolph and the gang
Nikki Bella and Dolph Ziggler were at FCW around the same time. Nikki had just started her journey in FCW while Ziggler was sent back down to be repacked after his debut as a member of the Spirit Squad. Both Nikki and Dolph dated briefly and they were both called up to the main roster in the third quarter of 2008.
In this photo, we see Dolph and Nikki at a bar with Zack Ryder, Maryse and Lilian Garcia. We aren’t sure when exactly this photo was taken but Nikki and Dolph were definitely an item at this point in time.
